On November 18, 2025, we welcomed a delegation from the Republic of Chile, specifically Ambassador Victor Abujatum, Consul Ms. Francisca Acevedo, Director of the Museum of Memory and Human Rights (“Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos”) Ms. María Fernanda García, and Cultural Attaché Ms. Dita Aguilera Grubner.

The Chilean delegation was briefed on the activities of the ABS departments and had the opportunity to visit  the archive depots and view files related to Chile from the years 1970–1980.

The Chilean delegation was given a presentation on the activities of the ABS department, and the visitors had the opportunity to examine files related to Chile from the 1970s and 1980s, etc.

The Chilean delegation highlighted the historical context and the reasons behind the museum’s establishment during General Pinochet’s dictatorship. The museum’s cornerstone was laid on December 10, 2008, by then-President Michelle Bachelet, who herself was a victim of torture during Pinochet’s dictatorship. The museum is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Chile and is funded by both public and private sources.
